May and June have been very busy months, with a lot of new books coming out and me trying to find a place to put them all! I think it's time to start thinking about a new bookshelf btw!

My loss is another one's gain, right??

Raised by Wolves

Title: Raised by Wolves
Author: Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Published: June 8, 2010
Pages: 432
Rating:
Summary: Adopted by the Alpha of a werewolf pack after a rogue wolf brutally killed her parents right before her eyes, fifteen-year-old Bryn knows only pack life, and the rigid social hierarchy that controls it. That doesn't mean that she's averse to breaking a rule or two.
But when her curiosity gets the better of her and she discovers Chase, a new teen locked in a cage in her guardian's basement, and witnesses him turn into a wolf before her eyes, the horrific memories of her parents' murders return. Bryn becomes obsessed with getting her questions answered, and Chase is the only one who can provide the information she needs.
But in her drive to find the truth, will Bryn push too far beyond the constraints of the pack, forcing her to leave behind her friends, her family, and the identity that she's shaped?

My Thoughts:

AMAZING! Jennifer Lynn Barnes has definitely exceeded my expectations!
Every since I saw this mesmerizing cover on GoodReads, I've been dying for it to come out. Surely enough, on Tuesday June 8th, I went to Barnes & Nobles with my sister to pick up a copy. I was excited! Anyway, back to this amazing book...

When Bronwyn Clare was four years old, she witnessed her parents get savagely murdered by a rouge werewolf. Before the 'Big Bad Wolf' (what she calls the rouge) can make her his next victim, Bronwyn is saved by a local pack of werewolves and is adopted in by the powerful alpha Callum. She is literally raised by wolves and her new human adoptive mother, Ali.
Bryn always stages little acts of rebellion to keep her independence known and to see just how far she can push Callum.
Even though Bronwyn is 100% human, her eleven years being raised by werewolves leave her more wolf than human emotionally.
But you don't have to be a wolf to know that something is going on that the pack isn't telling her. When Callum tries to make her stay out of it and orders her bodyguards, Bryn finds herself even more determined to know what is putting all the wolves on edge. She soon finds out about the new werewolf, Chase, who is brought into the pack. Bryn is compelled to see him and what she finds out will change everything.
Bryn is a very snarky, headstrong character who never gives up on her goals no matter what the consequences are. She's one of those characters who stands up for what they believe is right.

I think Jennifer Lynn Barnes created amazing characters as well as a very unique plot and storyline. I loved her writing style, it drew me in on the very first page! It was hard to put down because it left me wanting to see what would happen next. The only down side...I think she introduces Chase a little too early but other than that, the book was brilliant.

This is by far one of my favorite werewolf YA book out there!
(And I'm not much of a Team Werewolf fan because i LOVE my vampires, but after reading this book it made me almost reconsider that) ;)
